Founded in 1865 to finance trade between Asia and the West, today HSBC is one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organisations serving more than 37 million customers worldwide. The bank’s aim is to be acknowledged as the world’s leading and most respected international bank.
On the eve of Chinese New Year, Cambridge Asia Business Association (CABA) and Cambridge China Business Society (CCBS) jointly organised a student trek to visit the HSBC’s global head office in London.
During the visit, HSBC representatives spoke to students about the structure of the bank, its global operations, the challenges ahead and their future direction. In the Q&A session, HSBC fielded questions from students regarding innovation, implications of Brexit and potential employment opportunities.
Besides forming a new relationship with HSBC, CABA also forged stronger ties with CCBS. We look forward to working together again and helping our members establish lifelong networks that keep them connected to all parts of the world.
